#Stephanie Maday# from softball and #Donald Romero# from men's outdoor track have been selected the EIU student-athletes of the week.  

Maday had a no-hitter against Tennessee State on Saturday as the Panthers won in five innings based on the NCAA run rule.  The no-hitter was the first by a Panthers softball pitcher since April 6, 1992 when Coli Turley no-hit DePaul.

Romero placed first and second in two throwing events at an abbreviated EIU/Indiana State Dual on Saturday.  Romero won the hammer throw with a mark of 174'1" which ranks 8th on EIU's career list.  Romero was second in the discus at 156'9"
