Ashley Webb of women's track and Veronica Bernier of women's golf have been selected the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Webb placed first in the discus over the weekend at the SIUE Gateway Classic. Her throw of 141'5" won the event by nearly three feet and landed the freshman in 8th on the EIU career charts.

Bernier placed 9th at the Loyola-Chicago Spring Tournament as she helped the Panthers post a top five finish at the event. The senior will lead the Panthers into the OVC Championships this week.
