Darren Patterson from men's track and Melise Brown from softball have been selected as the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Patterson helped the Panthers claim their third straight OVC Outdoor Track Championship as he was named the co-Athlete of the Championships.  Patterson placed first in the 200m and 400m while also earning gold medal honors as part of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

Brown helped the Panthers clinch the outright OVC softball championship as they swept Morehead State.  The lead-off hitter hit .625 for the weekend including a pair of triples and two RBI.  Brown was 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts and scored four runs.
