Jake Plant from men's soccer and Olivia Klaus from women's cross country have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Plant scored a pair of goals for the men's soccer team including the game winner with one second remaining in overtime as the Panthers beat IPFW 3-2. It was the Panthers first Summit League win of the year.

Klaus placed second at the OVC Cross Country Championships earning first team All-OVC honors for the fourth time in her career. Klaus ran a 5K time of 17:30.61 which is the second fastest time in school history.
