Sydney Mitchell from women's basketball and Morris Woods from men's basketball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Mitchell became the latest member of the women's basketball 1,000 point club on Saturday against Murray State.  She just missed recording double-doubles in back-to-back games finishing with 22 points and 21 rebounds for the week.

Woods scored 24 and 21 points in the Panthers two games last week as he shot 69 percent from the field including a 7-of-8 night in the win over Murray State.  Woods is shooting 56 percent from the floor in OVC games and 51 percent for the year.
