Dino Fanti from football and Stephanie Wallace from volleyball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Fanti helped lead the Panthers defense to a 37-17 win over Murray State and a share of the OVC regular season title. Fanti had 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced a fumble in the end zone that resulted in an EIU safety.

Wallace was solid at libero leading the Panthers in digs during two home wins that locked up the OVC West Division regular season title. Wallace had 21 digs on Friday night's win and added two service aces on Saturday.
