Pablo Ramirez from men's track and Sephora Boulbahaiem from women's tennis have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Ramirez competed in the Ryan Shay 3K at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite over the weekend running against some of the nation's top distance runners.  Ramirez was seventh with a time of 8:10.71, which is third fastest in EIU school history and the best mark in the OVC this season.

Boulbahaiem helped the Panther women's tennis team start 3-0 on the season taking part in the 4-3 victory over Southern Illinois.  She helped EIU secure the doubles point playing in the number one pair.  Playing number three singles she won 10-1 in the third set to secure a point for EIU.
