Demetre Taylor from baseball and Carly Willert from softball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Taylor helped power the Panthers to a non-conference series win over IPFW.  Taylor had a slugging percentage of .769 driving in seven runs.  He added two triples and two doubles.

Willert hit .636 during four OVC games on the road for the Panthers.  She drove in two runs while scoring two more.  Willert added a stolen base and advanced two runners on sac bunts.
