Demetrius McReynolds and Casey Teson, both from men's basketball, were named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

McReynolds was named the OVC Newcomer of the Week after leading the Panthers in scoring in both games last week.  McReynolds averaged 19 points per game collecting his fourth double-double (19 pts, 12 reb) this season on Saturday in the win at Southeast Missouri.  McReynolds shot 53 percent from 3-point range for the week.  He averaged eight rebounds, with five assists and three steals.

Teson won his second OVC Freshman of the Week honor scoring in double figures in both EIU games last week.  Teson was 8-of-16 from 3-point range knocking down four 3-pointers in both games.  He averaged 15 points per game for the week adding two rebounds, two assists and one steal.  Teson has 62 3-pointers this season and needs six more to tie the EIU freshman record for 3-pointers in a season.
