GAME 21
Eastern Illinois continues its four game home stand on Saturday night with a game against Jacksonville State. The Panthers knocked off JSU in the earlier season meeting, 78-69, in Alabama on Jan. 3. On Thursday the Panthers shot 52 percent from the floor as they pulled away for a 75-58 win over Tennessee Tech. That win moved EIU into sole possession of fourth place in the OVC standings at 6-4. Jacksonville State won at Southeast Missouri on Thursday and is ninth in the OVC race at 3-7.

EIU - JACKSONVILLE STATE SERIES
This will be the 10th meeting between Eastern Illinois and Jacksonville State with the Panthers holding a 6-3 series advantage. EIU has won five straight over the Gamecocks after sweeping the season series in 2007 and 2008 and winning the first meeting this season. In the first meeting this year on Jan. 3, Tyler Laser scored a season-high 22 points as all five starters hit double figures in the 78-69 win.

SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE STATE
Jacksonville State enters the weekend with a 9-10 record, 3-7 in the OVC after they won 78-68 at Southeast Missouri on Thursday. JSU opened the season winning 6 of 7 but has struggled in the month of January posting a 2-7 mark in the month with both wins over SEMO. Four players average double figures for the Gamecocks with Jeremy Bynum the best at 12.8 ppg.

KEVIN DUCKWORTH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eastern Illinois athletics will dedicate the Kevin Duckworth Memorial Scholarship at halftime of Saturday's game with Duckworth's mother Maxine and family members in attendance. Duckworth ranks first on the EIU career rebounding and blocked shots list. He passed away in August 2008. Pledge cards are available as part of the game program or by calling (217) 581-5831.
