CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois softball head coach Kim Schuette has announced open tryout information for any EIU students interested in a shot at joining the Panther program.

The open tryout date is set for 4 pm on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 at EIU's Williams Field. In case of inclement weather, an indoor location may be determined.

Prior to attending the tryout, interested students must stop by assistant coach Jason Dorey's office in Lantz Arena to complete medical and insurance forms, as well as a liability waiver. His office is located in Room 1415 (which is in the middle of the long hallway that heads from the SRC to the Fieldhouse on the west side of the arena).

All interested students should bring a copy of their parents' insurance card for use in filling out the necessary insurance form.
