GAME 28
Eastern Illinois will host Austin Peay on Thursday night and Tennessee State on Saturday night as the Panthers close out the regular season at home. Both games have huge post-season implications for the Panthers as wins in both games coupled with one loss by Eastern Kentucky would give EIU the tie-breaker with the Colonels and set up EIU to host a first round OVC Tournament game. EIU has won five games in a row improving to 16-11 with their Bracketbuster win over Northern Illinois on Saturday. Austin Peay is one game ahead of EIU in the conference race as the Governors enter with a 16-13 overall mark following a loss to Oral Roberts in their Bracketbuster contest.

EIU-AUSTIN PEAY SERIES
This will be the 33rd meeting between Eastern Illinois and Austin Peay with the Governors recently pulling away to lead the series 20-12. APSU currently holds the longest active win streak against EIU having won ten straight in the series. The last EIU victory was Jan. 20, 2005 in Lantz Arena, a 63-51 victory. APSU won the earlier season meeting in Clarksville, 73-60.
