MATCHES 14-15
The Panthers (4-7-2, 3-1 OVC) play host to Eastern Kentucky (5-7-2, 3-1-1 OVC) and Morehead State (6-5-3, 2-2-1 OVC) this upcoming weekend.
 
EIU faces EKU on Friday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. before playing Morehead State on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m.
 
AGAINST EASTERN KENTUCKY
The Panthers hold a 6-1 record in the all-time series with the Colonels. EIU has posted five shutouts in the series while outscoring EKU, 13-3, in those matches. Panther head coach Summer Perala is 3-0 all-time against EKU.
 
Last season, the Panthers came away with two wins over the Colonels. EIU won the regular-season match in Charleston, 1-0, on a goal by Jessica Blake. The Panthers defeated EKU, 2-1, on Nov. 4 in the conference tournament on goals by Kristin Germann and Ashley Streid.
 
AGAINST MOREHEAD STATE
EIU is 10-5-2 in the all-time series history with Morehead State. The Panthers won the first nine matches between the two teams, but have gone 1-5-2 in the last eight meetings. EIU head coach Summer Perala is 0-2-1 against the Eagles.
 
The Panthers have never lost to Morehead State at home, posting an all-time record of 6-0-2 record in matches played at Lakeside Field.
 
Last season, EIU and Morehead State played to a scoreless draw in Charleston during the regular season before facing each other in the semifinal round of the conference tournament on Nov. 5. Morehead State eliminated EIU from the tournament with a 2-1 victory before capturing the tournament title with a win over Austin Peay.

PANTHER NOTES
- Three different players have netted a game-winning goal in OVC contests for the Panthers, including goals by Brooke Sill and Brenna Vogel who both found the net for the first time in their respective careers.
 
- Through four OVC matches, EIU has only allowed one goal while posting a 0.25 goals against average. Jessica Taldone leads a pair of Panther goalkeepers in those matches with a 0.33 GAA to go along with 29 saves and two shutouts.
 
- Junior Kristin Germann leads the Panthers with 10 points as the forward has a team high four goals to go along with two assists. The Carbondale, Ill., native ranks eighth among OVC active career leaders in points (32) and goals (13).
 
- Senior defender Sam Balek has played in 6,573 minutes throughout her career, the most minutes in school history. Classmates Hillary Blake and Ashley Eck are also on the career chart for minutes played as Blake ranks third (5,737 minutes) and Eck ranks 10th (4,254 minutes).
 
- EIU's 1-0 road win over UT Martin on Oct. 2 was the Panthers first road win of the season. EIU is the only team to post a shutout against the Skyhawks this year.
