EIU men's soccer hits the road for its final non-conference match of the year when they travel to the Music City to take on Belmont at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The Panthers are 7-7-1 on the year while Belmont is 6-9-2.
 
AGAINST BELMONT

Eastern Illinois is 4-0 in the all-time series with Belmont while EIU head coach Adam Howarth is 2-0 in the series history. The last time the two teams met was during the 2007 season with EIU coming away with a 2-1 overtime win in Charleston. The Panthers defeated the Bruins, 8-1, in the last meeting in Nashville back in 2000.
 
LAST TIME OUT

The Panthers are coming off a 2-0 senior day loss on Saturday, Oct. 29 against Summit League foe Oakland. EIU was shut out for the first time since dropping a 3-0 road contest at in-state rival Western Illinois on Sept. 30.
 
PANTHER NOTES

- EIU was shut out for only the fourth time this season last Saturday against Oakland. EIU is 3-2 in its last five matches with seven goals.
 
- The Panthers play their final regular-season contest at IPFW on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. EIU needs a win plus a variety of scenarios to play out to advance to the Summit League Tournament. Western Illinois has captured the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the tournament that will be played in Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 11-13.
 
- EIU's newcomers have paced the Panther attack this season as 42 of the team's 59 points have been recorded by newcomers. 12 of the team's 19 goals have also been netted by newcomers.
