GAME 28
Eastern Illinois heads into the final weekend of the regular season in a must win situation. The Panthers are currently ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings and must win both road games at Austin Peay and Tennessee State to have any chance at making the OVC Tournament. In addition to a pair of wins, EIU also needs UT Martin to lose both of its home games for the Panthers to secure the number eight seed. EIU is 9-18, 4-12 in the OVC following a Bracketbusters win at Toledo on Saturday. Austin Peay is 17-12, 11-5 OVC.

EIU-AUSTIN PEAY SERIES
This will be the 35th meeting between Eastern Illinois and Austin Peay. The Governors hold a 21-13 all-times series lead which was extended in large part by ten straight losses to APSU between 2005 and 2010. The Panthers finally snapped that streak on Feb. 25, 2010 with a 83-73 win over the Governors in Lantz Arena. EIU lost the first meeting between the schools this year, 77-73 in overtime after the Panthers held a double digit lead in the second half with 5:17 remaining. EIU has not won in Clarksville since Jan. 27, 1997 a 90-80 victory.

SCOUTING AUSTIN PEAY
Austin Peay is currently in third place in the Ohio Valley Conference race heading into the final weekend. The Governors feature one of the best transfers in the OVC in guard TyShwan Edmondson who is leading APSU with 17.8 points per game. Much like EIU, Austin Peay lost one of its floor leaders in Anthony Campbell following the 10th game of the season. The Governors are averaging 74.7 points per game with Josh Terry also averaging double figures at 10.6.

DRIVE FOR TEN
Eastern Illinois will be looking for its 10th win of the season on either Thursday or Saturday when the Panthers play at Austin Peay and Tennessee State. A win either day would give EIU three straight years with double figure wins.

GRANGER UP TO FIFTH IN NCAA FREE THROWS
Riding a string of 18 straight made free throws, Jeremy Granger has now moved up to 5th in the NCAA for free throw percentage this season. Granger has knocked down 95-of-103 free throws to connect for 92.2 percent this season. On Saturday at Toledo, Granger made 13-of-13 to become the first player since Henry Domercant (16-of-16 on Feb. 6, 2003 vs. Eastern Kentucky) to be perfect from the line on double digit attempts. The school record is 17-of-17 is also held by Domercant on Dec. 15, 2001 against Loyola-Chicago.

HOLLOWELL CHASING HIMSELF
James Hollowell added another block to his season and career total on Saturday at Toledo. Hollowell now has 32 blocks on the season as he ranks 6th on the EIU single season list. Hollowell is actually chasing himself for the next spot on the list as he blocked 36 shots last year to rank 5th on the single season list. For his career Hollowell now has 68 career blocks which ranks 5th on the Panthers career charts. He is chasing George Tandy (2005-06) for fourth place on the list with 71.
