CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois head men's soccer coach Adam Howarth has announced the addition of three players to his 2012 roster. A total of 11 newcomers will suit up with the Panthers next fall.
Anthony DiNuzzo (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett HS),
Ben Feltes (Hiawatha, Iowa/Kennedy HS) and
Victor Krogmann (Hamburg, Germany/Gymnasium Hochrad HS) will join

Conor Bartuch,
Kyle Callender,
Garrett Creasor, Anthony Meza,
Eric McCausland,
Jake Plant and
Nick Smith who were added earlier this spring.
“As many college coaches say, recruiting never ends and we feel great about the three new additions to our squad for this next fall,” said Howarth. “All three bring something different to the table and can impact the team quickly.”
Anthony DiNuzzo
5'10 – 155 lbs.
Midfielder/ Forward

Accolades: Earned IHSSCA Sectionals honors in 2011… also named to the
Daily Herald Fox Valley All-Area Team as a senior… served as team captain… recipient of the Upstate Eight All-Conference Award… finished his high school career as the single-season record holder for goals (13) and assists (11)… led his team to a IHSA Regional Title in 2011… also helped his team capture the 2010 Nike Challenge Cup as well as finishing second at the 2010 Disney Academy Tournament… also considered Lewis University and Loras College.
Coach Howarth on DiNuzzo – “Anthony has an abundance of technical skill and has the ability to beat players 1v1 consistently. He will provide a great deal of creativity in attack and is really starting to come into his own this year. He had a great high school season, leading a team to a lot of success and has followed that up with being a valuable member on his Sockers FC academy team. I look forward to working with Anthony this fall.”
Ben Feltes

Club: EIU (Eastern Iowa United)
Accolades: Earned All-Metro Soccer Team honors in 2010 and 2011… also earned MVC All-Conference honors in 2011… set his high school's single-season shutouts record in 2011 with 12… led his team to the state tournament in 2010 and 2011 after capturing the Iowa High School Sub-State Title… member of the Iowa ODP Team for the last five years… is currently playing in his senior season as Iowa high school boys soccer plays in the spring… currently has 26 career shutouts… also considered DePaul, Temple, UMass, Bucknell, Bradley, Missouri State, Drake and N.C. State.
Coach Howarth on Feltes – “Ben is a great addition to our goalkeepers. He has a great presence and will work closely with Coach Hansen. He is a fierce competitor and hard worker and will battle for our goalkeeping spot in training and matches. He is a very intelligent young man and has a lot of leadership qualities which is needed greatly in his goalkeeping spot.”
Victor Krogmann
6'8 – 213 lbs.

Club: SC Nienstedten
Accolades: Played for the Hamburger Fussball soccer team from 2008-11… was the recipient of the Hochrad Preis des Jahres Award (outstanding academic/social award) in 2011… also considered Columbia College.
Coach Howarth on Krogmann – “Victor came to us late in the recruitment process but we are very excited to add a player of his quality to our team. He will add an extra dimension to our attack this fall. He is coming in with a great deal of knowledge concerning the College soccer scene. I feel that he will have a quick learning curve and can impact the team sooner rather than later. He is a great student and a nice addition to our forward group.”
