MATCHES 10-11
The Panther women's soccer team opens Ohio Valley Conference action at Belmont on Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. EIU then returns home to play host to Tennessee Tech on Sunday, Sept. 29 at noon.

PANTHER NOTES
Sophomore forward Hannah Miller scored her first goal of the season in the Panthers loss at Valparaiso on Sept. 22. The Fishers, Ind., native now has three career goals and one assist.

The Panthers rank fourth in conference in saves with 57. Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Hinton has made a team-high 22 saves.

EIU took more shots than Valparaiso On Sept. 22, the first time this season the Panthers have taken more shots than their opponent in a match. The Panthers have had 10 or more shots in their last three matches.

The Panthers are 10-5-2 all-time in conference openers. EIU is looking for its first conference-opening road win since defeating Eastern Kentucky, 2-0, on Sept. 28, 2007.

SERIES HISTORY WITH BELMONT
The Panthers are 2-1 all-time against Belmont. EIU defeated Belmont last season, 2-1, in overtime on Oct. 26. The Panthers lost their only road match in the series, 1-0, on Aug. 26, 2011.

SERIES HISTORY WITH TENNESSEE TECH
The Panthers are 15-3-4 all-time against Tennessee Tech, including a 9-1-1 record when playing at Lakeside Field. The two teams have played nine matches into overtime in the series history, including five of the last six matches.

EIU defeated the Golden Eagles, 3-2, in overtime last season on Sept. 30. Then-freshmen Bianca Navejas and Hannah Miller each scored a goal in the win. The Panthers won the last home meeting against TTU, 2-0, on Sept. 23, 2011.

SCOUTING THE BRUINS
Belmont is 2-4-1 this season with a 1-0-1 mark in home matches. Allie Hicks paces the offense with two goals while five other players have one goal each. In goal, Nicole Berner has a 2.49 goals against average with 32 saves and one shutout.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Tennessee Tech is 2-7 on the year with a 2-3 record in road matches. Ellie Iaciofano leads the team in scoring with nine points (three goals, three assist). Jordan Brown has a 1.63 goals against average with 61 saves and one shutout in goal for the Golden Eagles.

UP NEXT
After traveling to Belmont on Friday, Sept. 27, the Panthers play host to Tennessee Tech at noon on Sunday, Sept. 29. EIU will then play two more home conference matches against Morehead State (Oct. 4) and Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 6).
