CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Panther women's soccer team improved to 2-0 in Ohio Valley Conference action on Sunday afternoon, defeating Tennessee Tech, 4-2, at Lakeside Field.

After the Golden Eagles (3-8, 1-1 OVC) took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute, the Panthers scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 advantage into intermission. Meagan Radloff scored the first of her two goals in the match in the 38th minute for the first goal before Allie Lakie added her first career goal a minute later. Hannah Miller scored her second goal of the season in the 40th minute from 12 yards out on the right off a play set up by Lakie and Chris Reed.

Only three minutes into the second half, Taylor Blazei netted her first goal of the season off a cross from Abi Gearing to get Tennessee Tech within one (3-2). Radloff hit a shot from 18 yards out on the right in the 86th minute to seal the victory for EIU.

The Panthers took one more shot (20-19) than the Golden Eagles and had four more corner kicks (8-4). Tennessee Tech committed one more foul (7-6) in the match.

Miller paced the Panther offense with seven shots (five on goal) while Ellie Iaciofano had six shots (one on goal) to lead the Golden Eagles.

Cortney Jerzy (2-3) earned the win in goal for the Panthers as she made three saves while surrendering two goals. Jordan Brown (3-8) took the loss for Tennessee Tech, allowing four goals and making five saves.
