SENIOR TRIBUTE: Eastern Illinois women's soccer has moved up its annual senior day match to take place on Sunday against Chicago State.   Prior to the match EIU will honor the members of this year's senior class Bianca Navejas, Molly Hawkins, Hannah Miller, Hannah Vieth, Briana Hickman and Karlee Deacon.  EIU will also recognize Cortney Jerzy, Samantha Roumayah and Emily Hinton.

MULTIPLE GOALS IN A GAME: EIU had two goals during the Panthers 3-2 loss last week to Bowling Green.  EIU has now scored multiple goals in three matches this season including a 3-1 win over IPFW.  Last year EIU had four matches with multiple goals while the 2013 season had EIU scoring multiple goals in just three matches as they made the OVC Tournament with a 6-4 OVC record.

LYON AMONG SAVES LEADERS: Freshman goalkeeper Maddie Lyon has been tested in the non-conference portion of the EIU schedule.  Lyon enters the weekend with a 2.19 goals against average.  She ranks first in the OVC in saves per game and 12th in the NCAA.  Lyons has 48 saves in six matches.

SERIES RECORD: Eastern Illinois will be facing Kansas City for second time in school history.  The Kangaroos won the first meeting between the two schools, 4-1, last year in Charleston.   Eastern Illinois will be facing Chicago State for the second time in school history on Sunday.  EIU beat the Cougars, 2-0, last season in the first meeting between the programs.  Both Kansas City and Chicago State play as members of the Western Athletic Conference.

HEAD COACH:  Jason Cherry is in his third season as the Panthers head coach.  Cherry was named the OVC Coach of the Year following his first season in 2013 after EIU posted a 6-4 conference record.  Cherry is a 2011 graduate of Western Illinois and served as an assistant coach at EIU for one season before taking over the head coach duties.
