Eastern Illinois plays the first of four nationally televised Ohio Valley Conference games on Thursday night when the Panthers host Eastern Kentucky on CBS Sports Net.  Later this season EIU will end the OVC regular season at home against Murray State on Feb. 25 on CBS Sports Net.  The Panthers have home games on Feb. 6 against Southeast Missouri and Feb. 10 against Austin Peay set for the American Sports Network.   EIU fell to 4-12 overall, 1-3 in the OVC on Saturday as Belmont used an 18-3 midway through the second half to break open the game.  The game was tied at 36-36 at the half and tied through the first four minutes of the second half.  EKU is 11-7 overall, 2-1 in the OVC after a home win on Saturday against Southeast Missouri.  EIU is 3-3 at home this year, EKU is 2-6 in road games.   Both EIU and EKU advanced to the CollegeInsiders.com Postseason Tournament last season.

RILEY BACK TO DOUBLE FIGURES
Junior college transfer A.J. Riley scored 20 points off the bench at Belmont on Saturday afternoon.  It was the third time Riley has scored 20 or more points this season with a high of 25 against Green Bay.  He was 8-of-13 from the floor and 3-of-6 from the free throw line.  Riley is second on the Panthers team in scoring at 10.9 points per game.  He is 15th in the OVC in free throw percentage knocking down 73.2 percent.

JOHNSTON CLIMBS INTO TWO TOP 20 LISTS
Cornell Johnston passed out seven assists at Belmont as the sophomore guard moved into 20th on the EIU career assists list with 238.  Johnston is averaging 8.7 assists per game in OVC play and for the season ranks second in the league at 5.1 assists per game.  His high was ten assists at Jacksonville State.  After leading the OVC in 3-point field goal percentage last season, he has moved into 19th on the EIU career 3-pointers made list with 86.  He has made two or more 3-pointers in four straight games.
