GAME 22
Eastern Illinois has won four of its last five games as the Panthers picked up a home win over UT Martin on Thursday night, 82-74.  EIU improved to 8-13 overall, 5-4 in the OVC.  It was the fourth time in the last five games EIU has scored more than 80 points in a game.   EIU travels to SIU Edwardsville on Saturday as EIU has only three road games remaining this season.  SIUE fell to 4-17 overall, 1-8 in the OVC with a home loss to Southeast Missouri on Thursday.

McREYNOLDS WITH ANOTHER HOT HALF
Demetrius McReynolds scored 20 points in the second half Thursday night finishing with 27 points in the win over UT Martin.  It was the third time this season McReynolds has scored 19 or more points in a half.  The junior college transfer sparked EIU to a road win at Jacksonville State with 19 second half points on January 2.  Against Eastern Kentucky on January 14, McReynolds had 19 of his 27 points in the first half to give the Panthers a halftime lead.  McReynolds added ten rebounds against the Colonels, one of two double-doubles he has this year.

PANTHERS HEATING UP OVER LAST FIVE GAMES
Eastern Illinois is 4-1 over the last five games with the Panthers cranking up the offense over that stretch.  EIU is averaging 81.6 points over the last five games compared to just 70 points for the season.  Four players have averaged in double figures led by Demetrius McReynolds with 17.2 points per game.  A.J. Riley (14.2), Cornell Johnston (13.2) and Trae Anderson (11.2) have also averaged in double figures in those five games.   EIU is plus two in the rebound margin in the last five games.
