NOTES TO KNOW
• Eastern Illinois is looking to close the 2016 season with a win which would give the Panthers their 22nd winning season as an NCAA Division I program. The Panthers have posted winning seasons in three of the previous four years with FCS playoff appearances in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
• Senior running back
Devin Church needs 111 yards in the final game of the season to become the 12th running back in EIU history with 1,000 yards in a season. The last to accomplish that feat was
Shepard Little with 1,551 yards in 2013. Church has six career 100-yard rushing games with four of them this season. Over the last four games Church has rushed for 414 yards with three 100-yard rushing games.
• Senior
Seth McDonald needs six tackles to become the first EIU player since Nick Ricks to post back-to-back 100 tackle seasons. McDonald leads the Panthers with 94 tackles which ranks 31st in the NCAA and fourth in the OVC. Last season McDonald had 109 tackles for the Panthers. McDonald has 252 career tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss and three sacks.
• Eastern Illinois and Eastern Kentucky will be ending the regular season against each other for the seventh time. EIU holds a 4-2 advantage in those five previous games after winning last season 21-7 in Charleston.
THE SERIES
• Eastern Illinois and Eastern Kentucky will be meeting for the 24th time when the two schools meet to wrap up the 2016 season.
