GAME 26Eastern Illinois wraps up its four-game home stand hosting SIU Edwardsville. The Panthers are currently tied for first in the OVC West Division with a 7-5 conference mark, 11-14 overall. EIU had its five game win streak snapped on Wednesday night by Austin Peay, 79-70. SIUE comes into the game with a 4-20 record overall, 1-11 in the OVC. SIUE is 1-10 on the road this year, EIU is 8-4 at home. Following Saturday's game EIU will play two road OVC games before ending the regular season at home on Thursday, Feb. 25 against Murray State. The Panthers and Racers are currently tied for first in the OVC West Division.
PIOTROWSKI ON THE BLOCKSSenior
Luke Piotrowski was one block shy of tying the EIU single game record on Wednesday with five blocks vs Austin Peay. Piotrowski made his third start of the season finishing the game with eight points, five rebounds and five blocks. He moved into seventh on the EIU career blocks list with 68. Over the last three games Piotrowski has averaged seven points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 75 percent from the floor (9-of-12) and 3-of-3 from the foul line.
RILEY JOINS DOUBLE-DOUBLE LISTA.J. Riley became the fourth different EIU player to post a double-double this season finishing with ten points and ten rebounds against Austin Peay. Riley has two double figure rebounding games with a high of 11 versus UT Martin. He has 16 double figure scoring games including four games with 20 or more points. His season high was 25 points versus Green Bay.
