Eastern Illinois won its third Ohio Valley Conference road game on Saturday with a 60-46 win over SIU Edwardsville as the Panthers moved into first place in the OVC West Division with a 6-4 record.  On Monday EIU stepped out of conference to pick up a 101-59 win over Saint Ambrose to stand at 10-13 overall.  EIU has won four straight games and six of their last seven.  Southeast Missouri comes to town on Saturday for a game on American Sports Network.  The Redhawks are 5-17, 2-7 in the OVC and play a Thursday game at Murray State. 

McREYNOLDS WITH ANOTHER HOT HALF
Demetrius McReynolds sparked another Eastern Illinois win on Monday with a hot half as he scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half against Saint Ambrose.  It was the fourth time this season McReynolds has scored 18 or more points in a half.  Recently he had 20 points in the second half during a win over UT Martin.  Earlier this year he had 19 point halves against Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky.  McReynolds is second on the team in scoring at 11.6 points per game.  He leads EIU in conference scoring at 14.3 points per game. 

PANTHERS PLAYING WELL SINCE MID-JANUARY
Eastern Illinois has won four straight games and six of their last seven since mid-January.  During the seven game stretch, EIU is averaging 81.3 points per game with 80 or more points in five of the seven games.  EIU is shooting 46 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range.  Four players are averaging double figures during the run led by Demetrius McReynolds at 16.7 points per game.  Cornell Johnston has averaged 12.6 points and 6.5 assists per game over the last seven games.
