• The starting time for the opening game of the series at Austin Peay has been moved up. The original starting time of 6 p.m. for the game has now been moved to 4 p.m. at Austin Peay due to expected weather in Clarksville, Tenn.

• The Panthers totaled seven hits in Tuesday's game at Saint Louis. Dane Toppel and Mitch Gasbarro led the offense recording two hits each. Toppel finished the game 2-for-4, as Gasbarro ended at 2-for-3.

• Andy Fisher worked out of the bullpen for an inning at Saint Louis. He did not allow a baserunner while on the mound. Fisher has been in control of opposing offenses in his last five outings, as the sophomore lefty has only allowed two runs in his last 11 innings pitched while recording 16 strikeouts.

• The Panthers will go with their redshirt-senior veteran starting pitcher Matt Wivinis in game one at Austin Peay on Friday night. Michael McCormick will start in game two on Saturday. At this time, EIU has not named a scheduled starter for the series finale on Sunday.

• Following their three-game slate at Austin Peay to open up conference play, the Eastern Illinois baseball team will spend their spring break in the state of Tennessee. The Panthers will travel to Nashville for a midweek game at Lipscomb on Tuesday (Mar. 15) and finish the week with a three-game series at Memphis (Mar. 18-20).

• Eastern Illinois is playing its 110th season of intercollegiate baseball. EIU has an all-time record of 1,717 wins and 1,487 losses.  Head Coach Jason Anderson is in his 1st season as the Panthers skipper after being hired to take on the role in the summer of 2015. Anderson picked up the first win of his coaching career with a 10-8 victory over No.12 Arkansas in 12 innings on March 5, 2016.
