GAME 22
Eastern Illinois opens the second half of the Ohio Valley Conference schedule on Saturday hosting SIU Edwardsville.  The Panthers lost their fifth straight game on Wednesday to league leader Belmont.  EIU is now 9-12 overall, 1-7 in the OVC.  The five game losing streak is the longest for the Panthers since December 2016 when EIU lost four games in the Global Sports Classic and one road game at Western Illinois.  SIU Edwardsville comes into the game 5-17 overall, 0-8 in the OVC after losing at home on Wednesday night to Tennessee State.

DAMA POSTS DOUBLE-DOUBLE, MOVES UP EIU BLOCKS LIST
Muusa Dama posted his sixth double-double of the season on Wednesday against Belmont finishing with 12 points and 15 rebounds.  It was the fourth time this season that Dama has pulled down 15 or more rebounds. His season high was 18 at Indiana State.  Dama drew the main defensive assignment against OVC Player of the Year Evan Bradds limiting him to only 38 percent shooting from the floor, far below his 65 percent shooting average.  In the game Dama swatted away four shots as he moved into second on the EIU single season blocks list with 45 passing former NBA All-Star Kevin Duckworth.  Dama needs 10 blocks for the EIU single season record.

McREYNOLDS GETS HOT IN SECOND HALF
Demetrius McReynolds scored 18 of his team high 20 points in the second half on Wednesday against Belmont.  It was the sixth time in his career that McReynolds has scored 18 or more points in a half.  Earlier this season McReynolds scored 19 points in the first half against Austin Peay as he finished that game with a career high 32 points.  McReynolds currently ranks 12th in the OVC in scoring at 14.7 points per game.  It was the ninth time in his career he has scored 20 or more points in a game.
