CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri scored two goals in a minute span just before end of the first half as SEMO beat Eastern Illinois women's soccer, 3-0, on Friday evening in Ohio Valley Conference action.
Esmie Gonzales scored both SEMO first half goals finding the back of the net in the 42nd and 43rd minutes to give the Redhawks a 2-0 lead at the half.
SEMO improved to 5-7-3 overall, 2-3-3 in the OVC. EIU fell to 5-10-2, 0-7-1 in the OVC. The Panthers will play on Sunday afternoon at UT Martin.
