UP NEXT: Men's soccer travels to Peoria Tuesday Oct. 10 for a 7 p.m. non-conference match up against Bradley. The Panthers will then return home for their last two home matches against Oral Roberts on Oct. 14 and Belmont on Oct. 17.

SERIES HISTORY: The Braves lead the all-time series record 16-8-2 heading into Tuesday's match. The two teams last met in 2014 when Bradley walked away with a 3-0 win over EIU. Each team was active on the offensive end taking many shots. The Panthers took 12 shots total with two on goal, while Bradley took 15 shots total with five on goal.

SCOUTING BRADLEY: Bradley is 7-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Braves started their season with a 1-2 loss vs. Gonzaga. They also suffered losses to Milwaukee, Omaha, and Missouri State. Bradley picked up a win against Northern Illinois and earned shutouts against Aurora, Incarnate Word, Fort Wayne, DePaul, and Drake. The team's lone tie came against Evansville. The Braves have scored 18 goals so far this season. Roman Schindler leads Bradley with five goals scored, and he has tallied four assists. Younes Dayekh has four goals for the Braves.

SUMMIT LEAGUE PLAY: The Panthers are off to a rough start in conference play this season. They are 0-2-1 in the Summit League. EIU played to a 0-0 draw against Omaha in their conference opener, but fell to Western Illinois 0-2 and Denver 0-1. The Panthers have two Summit League matches left this season. The team will be at home on Oct. 14 to play Oral Roberts. Then their final game of the regular season will be played at Fort Wayne on Nov. 4 to close out Summit League play.

FRESHMAN PLAYING TIME: EIU has a young roster this year with eight freshman on the team. Of the eight, three have seen a considerable amount of playing time.
Federico Verlichi has played in all 12 matches for the Panthers and has been a spark on the offensive end of the field. Verlichi has taken 14 shots for EIU and scored one goal this season. Defender
Erik Isaksson has played in 11 matches for EIU while
Shady Omar has seen the field in 10.
Simeon Packer has seen a rise in minutes played midway through the season and has played in the last five matches for the Panthers.

HEAD COACH:
Kiki Lara is in his third season as EIU men's soccer head coach. Lara was hired as the men's soccer head coach in 2015 and was promoted to director of soccer overseeing both programs in the spring of 2015. Lara is a 2003 graduate of Incarnate Word and played in the USL First Division for five seasons. He came to EIU following a stint as the assistant men's soccer coach at Dayton.
