HONORING 1992 NCAA TOURNAMENT TEAM
Eastern Illinois will honor its first NCAA Division I Tournament team during halftime of Saturday's game as the team will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.  The 1992 team advanced to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament Championship.  Steve Rowe was named the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament MVP after scoring 22 points with 11 rebounds in the championship game win over Illinois-Chicago.  The Panthers were defeated by Indiana in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament as the Hoosiers advanced to the Final Four that season.

Eastern Illinois was hot from 3-point range on Thursday night as the Panthers went 12-of-24 from beyond the arc during the 81-71 win over UT Martin.  It was the second time this season that EIU shot 50 percent or better from 3-point range with a season best 54.5 percent at Illinois-Chicago on Dec. 4 (12-of-22).  The Panthers have hit 12 or more 3-pointers in a game five times with a high of 13 against Fontbonne University.
