CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Eastern Illinois women's soccer saw its overall record dip below the .500 mark for the first time this season as the Panthers dropped a 2-0 Ohio Valley Conference match on Sunday afternoon at Austin Peay.

EIU fell to 5-6-1 overall, 0-3 in the OVC. Â APSU improved to 7-3-1 overall 2-1-1 in the OVC.

The two squads played a balanced first half with Austin Peay attempting four total shots with one shot on goal which was saved by EIU goalkeeper
Sara Teteak. Â EIU had one shot in the first half.

Austin Peay applied the pressure in the second half as they finished the match with 15 total shots including six shots on goal. Â Shelby Stewart was able to find the back of the net for the Governors in the 56th minute.

Kirstin Robertson provided an insurance goal for APSU in the 82nd minute as she tapped in a shot from the left side of the goal box after Teteak had made a save on the initial shot by the Governors.Â

EIU was held to only three shots for the match with one shot on goal. Â

Kayla Stolfa each had a shot for the Panthers, Stolfa's shot was an attempt on goal.
