OMAHA - Eastern Illinois men's soccer fell in their regular season finale at Omaha Saturday afternoon. The Mavericks scored in the first half to secure a 1-0 shutout win. EIU finishes the regular season 3-10-4 overall and 1-2-2 in conference. Omaha finishes 6-7-1 overall and 4-1 in conference.
Martin Veys scored the game winner in the 37th minute for Omaha. Diego Gutierrez set up for a corner kick sending the ball into Veys. Veys would send the ball into the right corner of the goal putting the Mavericks up 1-0 just before halftime. Veys finished the match with four total shots while Gutierrez took five shots with two on goal.

Luke Kurili each tallied one of the Panthers two shots in the match.
Jonathan Burke made three saves in goal for EIU.
The Summit League tournament begins Friday Nov. 9. The Panthers are waiting for te results of the Oral Roberts vs. No. 10 Denver match tonight to know if they have clinched a spot in post season play.
