DEFENSIVE STAND AT WESTERN ILLINOIS
Eastern Illinois put together a solid defensive effort in the second half at Western Illinois as the Panthers rallied from a 16-point deficit with 15:55 remaining in the game.  EIU held WIU scoreless for 10:01 as they went on a 19-0 run to take the lead.  After the teams tied the score at 52-52, EIU then again held the Leathernecks scoreless for another 4:11 as they would win 74-67.  WIU shot 37.9 percent from the field in the second half but went 0-for-12 from the field with four turnovers during the ten minute scoreless stretch.

HARVEY CONTINUES TO CONTRIBUTE OFF THE BENCH
Ben Harvey scored eight of his 14 points during the Panthers 19-0 run in the second half against Western Illinois.  For Harvey it was the second time this season he had scored in double figures against the Leathernecks after posting a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in the home overtime win.  Harvey has now scored in double figures in five straight games averaging 12.8 points per game in that span and 10.5 points per game for the season.  Harvey is currently fifth among OVC freshman in scoring this season, fifth in 3-point field goal percentage and 13th in field goal percentage.
