SORRENTO, Fla. – After severe weather altered Monday's second round, teams were able to complete play on Tuesday as the Eastern Illinois women's golf team wrapped up play at the Morehead State Citrus Classic in Sorrento, Fla. The Panthers placed 12th in the field moving up one spot on the final day during the tournament played at the Par 72, 6,225 yard RedTail Golf Club.
Daphne Chang shot back-to-back rounds in the 70s and closed with a two-over round of 74 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 12th in the tournament. It was the third straight tournament that Chang has finished in the top 15 after winning OVC Female Golfer of the Week honors last week with a ninth place finish at the Butler Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville.
Senior
Anne Bahr shot 77 in her second round as she finished in a tie for 43rd with a 36-hole total of 160.
Hannah Magda placed 60th with a score of 167. Her best round of the tournament was on Sunday with an 83.
Mckenzie O'Brien had her best round on the final day closing with an 85 as she tied for 67th with a total of 174. Kaitlyn Hasprey closed out the five EIU scored golfers with a score of 182 to tie for 71st. Sara Guertersloh played as an independent for the Panthers posting a total of 185 to place 73rd. She opened with a round of 85.
Florida Gulf Coast won the team title while Michaela Fabiankova of Keiser University was the individual medalist.
