CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis wrapped up its final road weekend of Ohio Valley Conference play on Saturday afternoon losing 6-1 at Austin Peay.

The Panthers are now 10-12 overall, 4-3 in the OVC. EIU will host UT Martin and Southeast Missouri next weekend for the final matches of the regular season. APSU improved to 9-6 overall, 5-1 in the OVC.

APSU won the doubles point as they picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The Panthers did hold a 5-2 advantage at No. 1 doubles when APSU won the point.Â

Grace Summers were playing at No. 1 for EIU when the result was left unfinished.

In singles action
Srishti Slaria scored the lone point for EIU winning at No. 3 singles. She needed three sets to beat Helena Kuppig 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.

Two other matches on the afternoon also went three sets with APSU holding on to win both of those. Fabienne Schmidt beat Summers in three sets 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) playing at No. 2 singles. Ana Albertson beat
Abby Carpenter at No. 5 singles 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8).
