MADISON - Eastern Illinois men's soccer fell 2-0 in their first exhibition match to the reigning Big Ten champion Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon.
The Badgers found the back of the net midway through the first half of play scoring their first goal of the season from ten feet out of the box. Wisconsin added another goal late in the second half to secure their first shutout of the season. The Badgers held an 8-to-1 corner kick advantage.
The Panthers recorded two shots on goal during the match-up.
Jake Andrews and
Zabdiel Justiniano made their first appearances in EIU jerseys and each tallied one shot on goal.
EIU will play another exhibition match at DePaul on August 21 at 1 pm and open the regular season on the road at Cincinnati August 27.
