ON-TAP: Eastern Illinois returns home to Lakeside Field on Friday as the Panthers host IUPUI at 1 p.m. as the first match of a women's / men's soccer doubleheader.  The EIU men will host Evansville at 4 p.m.   EIU is 0-2-1 after losing road matches at Milwaukee and Green Bay last weekend.   IUPUI is 1-3 having lost three straight.   On Sunday EIU heads to the Windy City to play at Chicago State.  The Cougars are 0-2-1 and play SIUE on Friday.

DEWOLF SCORES A PAIR: Junior Sarah DeWolf was credited with both goals in the Sunday match at Green Bay.  One of the goals was originally given to Kate Olson but was later changed after film review.  DeWolf now has six career goals at EIU after picking up three goals last season.   The last EIU player to score two or more goals in a match was Hannah Heinz with a pair of goals last season against Chicago State.

FIRST ASSIST OF CAREER FOR RENICK: Haylee Renick picked up her first career point at Eastern Illinois on Sunday as she assisted on the first goal of the season for the Panthers.  Renick appeared in only five matches last season playing 124 minutes with one shot.  Renick has already passed that playing time total this season with 131 minutes logged through three matches with a shot.

URTEAGA ADDS ASSIST ON GOAL: Henar Urteaga picked up her first point of the 2018 season with an assist on Sarah DeWolf's second goal on Sunday at Green Bay.  It was the second career assist for the junior.  Urteaga's other career assist came during the 2015 season when she earned OVC All-Newcomer team honors.

PAIR OF KEEPERS IN NET: Eastern Illinois played a pair of goalkeepers in the net over the weekend as junior Sara Teteak started in the match on Friday against Milwaukee.  On Sunday freshman Daniela Bermeo saw her first collegiate action in the loss at Green Bay that was shortened due to weather with seven minutes remaining.  Bermeo had five saves in the match.

SERIES HISTORY: Eastern Illinois and IUPUI will be meeting for the 10th time this weekend with the Panthers holding a 5-2-2 all-time series lead.  EIU won 2-0 last season at IUPUI after the teams had played to a 0-0 draw in 2015.   On Sunday EIU and Chicago State will meet for the fifth time.  EIU leads the all-time series 4-0 including a 5-1 win last year in which Kayla Stolfa set the school record and tied the Ohio Valley Conference record with four assists in the match.
