MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State finished with more shots on goal than Eastern Illinois in the Ohio Valley Conference opener for both schools on Friday evening. The Panthers were able to make the most of one of their shot attempts as
Lexi Ketterhagen lifted EIU to a 1-0 win.

The win was the Panthers first OVC victory since Oct. 16, 2016 as they improved to 2-4-2 on the season, 1-0 in the conference. The Panthers wrap up the Kentucky swing on Sunday at Eastern Kentucky. Morehead State fell to 1-8 overall, 0-1 in the OVC.

The two schools played evenly during the first half as the match was impacted by a lighting delay that halted the match for nearly an hour. When play resumed the Panthers scored in the final five minutes on Ketterhagen's game winner at 85:59.  The assist on her goal came from
Angela Corcoran and
Sarah DeWolf as Ketterhagen scored from the top left corner of the goal box.

Sara Teteak posted her third shutout of the season making eight stops.
