RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Illinois women's soccer turned in a solid defensive performance on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers ended their weekend swing through Kentucky with a 0-0 double overtime draw at Eastern Kentucky. Following the win on Friday evening to open Ohio Valley Conference play at Morehead State, the Panthers head into a four-match conference homestand with four points in the standings column.

EIU is now 2-4-3 on the season, 1-0-1 in the OVC. EKU is 4-5-1 overall, 0-1-1 in the conference.

Sara Teteak turned away both Eastern Kentucky shots on goal as the junior had her fourth shutout of the season. The shutout gave her 11 for her career which moves Teteak into fourth on the EIU career shutouts list.

The defensive backline had a good overall defensive effort with
Kate Olson,
Lindsey Carlson,
Victoria Wharton and
Henar Urteaga all played 110 minutes in the contest.Â
Angela Corcoran also logged the full 110 minutes for the Panthers playing in a middle / attack role.
