CLARKSVILLE, TENN. – EIU looked to win their first road game in OVC as they took on Austin Peay. The Panthers lost to the Governors in four sets (18-25, 21-25, 25-20, 22-25).

The Panthers kept the first match close early but the Governors took a seven point lead to go ahead 14-7. EIU had a run of their own and brought it back with in two led by a pair of Hannah Sieg kills. APSU ended up taking set three by seven points as they claimed four of the last five points.
 
In the second set, the Panthers tied the set up at 10-10 and took their first lead of the set by two points. EIU kept it close all the way to the end but the Governors took set two.
 
EIU got the first point of the third set but APSU took the lead right back. Throughout the set the Panther would on multiple runs to take control of the first set and won set three by five and was led by Katie Sommer.
 
Through the fourth and final the set the Panthers were nipping at the heels of the Governors the whole set. APSU was to strong and took the fourth set by three points as they score four of last five points.

The Panthers were led by Katie Sommer with ten kills and also tacked on three blocks. Bailey Chandler led the team in assists with 33 as Madison Cunningham led the team in digs with 33.
 
The Panthers are back in action tomorrow as they take on Murray state.
