MURRAY, KY. – Today was the last chance for the Panthers to win an OVC game on the road. EIU looked for the victory against Murray State but The Panthers lost to the Racers in three sets (16-25, 23-25, 15-25).
 
In the first set the Panthers got off to a rough start as the Racers went ahead by six points to take the lead 9-3. The Panthers tried to get their footing back but were unable to do so as Murray State took the first set.
 
Throughout the second set the Panthers held their own an is it was close all the way through the set. The Racers got out to a fast start with a 5-0 run to take control early. The Panthers took the lead late in the set by one but the Racers came back strong and took the second set by two points. 
 
In the final set, the Racers jumped out fast as they gained control early and kept it thought out the final set. The Panthers tried to muster a comeback but were unable to do so.

The Panthers were led by Katie Sommer for the second night in a row with eight kills and led the team in blocks with four. Bailey Chandler was the team leader in assists with 24 and Madison Cunningham led the team in digs with 16.
 
The Panthers are back in action Wednesday (Nov. 6) at 6 p.m. at home as they take on SIUE.
