CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's basketball coach Matt Bollant has announced the addition of three players for next season as the NCAA national signing period opened on Wednesday.  Alana Vinson, Haley Cameron and Parker Stafford will all be on the Panthers 2020-21 roster.

"With these three incoming players we feel like we have added good length to our roster and kids that have a high basketball IQ," said Bollant.   "These three young ladies will represent our program really well on and off the court."

Vinson is a 5'11" combo guard from Indianapolis where she plays for Roncalli HS.  Last season she was named to the All-Circle Conference team and an INDY Star Junior All-Star.  Vinson averaged 17 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

" Alana has a high basketball IQ and a really good feel for the game. She has had a very successful career for a good high school coach, Stan Benge at Roncalli High School, who I have known for 22 years," said Bollant.

Cameron is from Dayton, Tenn., where the 6' forward played at Rhea County HS.  She has been a two-time All-District selection averaging ten points per game while shooting 60 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the foul line.

"Haley is an elite shooter with great range who can also score it off the bounce," said Bollant.  "She has a high basketball IQ and makes the right plays to help her team win."

Stafford plays at Marian HS in Omaha, Neb.  She is a 6' power forward that averaged 8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game last season before increasing her production during summer basketball action.

"Parker is a very athletic physical post, she can rebound and defend. She has competed well against high level competition in AAU playing for All Nebraska Attack," said Bollant.

EIU continues the 2019-20 season on Saturday when the Panthers travel to UIC for a 2 p.m. game.
