The Panthers take on the Phoenix in the final regular season match

REGULAR SEASON FINALE: The Panthers will play their last match of the regular season on Nov. 5 against Green Bay. The Panthers are coming off a 1-0 victory against Purdue Fort Wayne, putting them in the fourth spot for The Summit League. Green Bay's last match was a 1-0 victory against Wright State coming off of a game winning goal late in the match. The Panthers sit at 5-8-2 on the season, while Green Bay is at 5-7-2.

POSTSEASON POSSIBILITIES: Eastern is currently sitting at the final spot for The Summit League tournament, however they are not guaranteed to be in the postseason. Denver is one win away from taking the spot from the Panthers. If Denver loses, then Eastern will have the final spot and will advance to the postseason.

WHO TO WATCH: The Panthers have had a great season as a collective team so far. Jonas Castelhano has started to find himself in a more important role as a player for the Panthers. Castelhano scored the winning goal in the last match for Eastern and has continued to improve throughout the season. Castelhano has proven himself this season and has played vital minutes for EIU.

SERIES HISTORY: These two programs have played 27 times with the all-time record sitting at 12-11-4 in favor of the Panthers. The last time these two programs faced off was 2018, where the Panthers fell to Green Bay in a 1-0 loss.

HEAD COACH: Kiki Lara is in his fifth season as the EIU men's soccer head coach.  Lara has led the Panthers to three straight Summit League Tournament appearances during his four previous seasons. During that time he has coached the Summit League Goalkeeper of the Year and several All-Summit League and All-Newcomer team selections.  He is assisted by Carlos Sendin Castelao and Paul Noble.
