SHAREEF SMITH SCORES BIG AT APSU
Guard
Shareef Smith had his best scoring night in a Panther uniform during Saturday's contest at Austin Peay. Smith finished with a season 29 points going 5-of-6 from 3-point range and 11-of-16 from the field. It was the second time this season that Smith has scored 20 or more points in a game with his previous season high of 20 coming against North Alabama. Smith added six assists in the game against APSU as he is now fourth in the OVC in assists per game for league play at 4.9. He is averaging 4.1 assists per game for the entire season.
HARVEY WITH ANOTHER DOUBLE FIGURE GAME
Ben Harvey finished with 12 points at Austin Peay while pulling down eight rebounds as he flirted with his second double-double of the year. Harvey has now scored in double figures in three of the Panthers last four games with a pair of 11 point games at home the previous weekend against Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State. For the season Harvey is the Panthers third leading scorer at 9.4 points per game with 14 double figure games this season. Harvey's season high was 17 points at Chicago State with his double-double coming in the early season home win against Western Illinois (11 pts, 10 reb).
