MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis went 2-0 on its weekend road trip as the Panthers picked up a 4-3 win over Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers improved to 5-4 on the season after beating Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee on Friday. Milwaukee fell to 2-6 on the season.

Milwaukee jumped out to an early lead as they won all three pairings in doubles action. They would push the lead to 2-0 with a win by Nicole Clarke at number three singles.

EIU rallied to win the next three points in singles action beginning with a win by
Karla Contreras at number six singles 6-1, 6-1 over Lucy Harper.

Srishti Slaria followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Mayya Perova at number two singles before
Rachel Papavasilopoulos gave EIU a one point lead in the match with her win at number one singles. Papavasilopoulos won 7-5, 6-1 over Alex Belle.

Milwaukee tied the match 3-3 with a win at number five singles before
Claire Martin clinched the match for EIU with her win at number four singles. Martin won 7-6, 6-4 over Nikki Milner.
