MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State beat Eastern Illinois women's tennis, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers played the first of two weekend matches in Indiana.
Ball State won the overall doubles point with the Panthers winning at number one doubles 4-3 over Victoria Sec and Sarah Swiderski. Â
Rachel Papavasilopoulos and Srisht Slaria teamed at number one doubles for EIU.
The Cardinals would win at number two and number three doubles to clinch the point.
Ball State would rattle off the next four points in singles play capturing the overall win with their win at number two singles.
EIU would add its two points of the day with wins at number three and number one singles.
Abby Carpenter won at three singles beating Livia Lukacs 6-3, 6-4.
Papavasilopoulos would win at number one singles over Swiderski, 6-3, 7-6, 10-7.
