DEKALB, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis continued its action packed weekend of matches on Saturday evening with the Panthers losing 7-0 at Northern Illinois.
 
The Panthers are now 4-4 on the season after playing two matches on Friday with two additional matches scheduled for Sunday.
 
NIU won all three pairings in doubles play with Mike Jansen and Daniel Hernandez challenging at number one doubles for the Panthers before falling 7-5 to Eric Marback and Kristopher Ortega.
 
In singles action NIU won five of the six sets in straight sets.  Hernandez would push his set at number three singles to three sets before falling to Mikko Malinen.  Hernandez lost by a score of 6-3, 2-6, 10-7.
 
EIU is slated to play Wright State and Saint Francis on Sunday.
