EIU vs. Saint Louis
Eastern Illinois men's tennis moved to 5-0 on the season as the Panthers swept a pair of Sunday matches with a split squad in action. EIU beat Mississippi Valley State 4-0 in the morning before knocking off Saint Louis 4-3 at night.
In the night cap EIU fell behind in doubles play as SLU won two of the three matches.
Freddie O'Brien and
Mike Jansen won at No. 1 singles while Saint Louis won the other two points.
EIU then won the match by winning four straight singles matches. O'Brien won the deciding match at No. 1 singles by a 7-5, 6-0 count.
Daniel Hernandez won at No. 3 singles with
Christos Kyrillou winning at No. 4 singles.
Braden Davis captured the final point at No. 6 singles.
Earlier in the day EIU swept a 4-0 win against Mississippi Valley State. The Panthers won the first four singles matches in a contest played to clinch.
Logan Charbonneau played at No. 1 singles as all four Panthers picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Pau Riera won at No. 2 singles.
Juan Carlos Garrido won at No. 3 and
Max Pilipovic-Kljajic won at No. 4 singles.
