CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri scored 86 seconds into the match on Thursday evening and had that goal stand up in a 1-0 win over Eastern Illinois.
EIU fell to 3-8-2 overall, 1-3-1 in the OVC. SEMO moved to 5-8 overall, 2-3 in the OVC.
Katelyn Miller scored for the Redhawks 86 seconds into the match with Lauren Welker providing the assist.
EIU would finish with five shots on goal collecting three in the first half and two in the second.
Niondina Nystrom had the final shot on goal for the Panthers in the 87th minute.
