Eastern Illinois wraps up non-conference play on Tuesday evening traveling to Ball State. This will be the Panthers third game this season against a member of the Mid-American Conference falling to Central Michigan and Northern Illinois earlier this year. EIU is 2-10 on the season after a loss on Saturday at Western Illinois. Ball State enters the game at 4-6 on the season following a loss at Illinois State on Saturday. The Cardinals are 3-0 at home this season at Worthen Arena.
ABRAHAM ON THE ASSIST
Henry Abraham played all 40 minutes on the floor on Saturday at Western Illinois as the second year guard played the point with guard
Kejuan Clements missing his second game with injury. Abraham responded with a season high 10 assists while adding five points and six rebounds. Abraham is now averaging 3 assists per game which ranks 12th in the OVC. He is the second EIU player this season with double figure assists in a game (Clements 11 vs. North Park). Abraham is second in the OVC in minutes played averaging 34.1 minutes per game and ninth in the OVC in 3-point field goal percentage at 40.4 percent.
HAMLIN IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Jermaine Hamlin finished with 14 points on Saturday at Western Illinois to lead the Panthers in scoring. It was the fourth time in the last five games that Hamlin has scored in double figures and the sevent time overall this season. Against WIU, Hamlin was 6-of-12 from the field and is now shooting 47.3 percent from the floor. In the seven games Hamlin has scored in double figures he is shooting 58 percent from the floor in those games. Hamlin also added a blocked shot to his season total giving him 21 which ranks third in the OVC this season.
