GAME 11
Eastern Illinois plays the second of four straight non-conference road games prior to the Holiday Break this Saturday with a trip to Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to face the Butler Bulldogs. This will be EIU's second straight game against a team from a basketball Power Conference after the Panthers lost on the road on Tuesday at Southeastern Conference member Missouri.  EIU is now 2-8 on the year.  Butler is 6-3 on the season after the Bulldogs won in overtime on the road at Oklahoma on Tuesday evening.  The Bulldogs have won three straight and are 4-1 at home this season.

HAMLIN IN DOUBLE FIGURES AGAIN
Jermaine Hamlin finished with ten points on Tuesday at Missouri as he was the lone EIU player in double figures against the Tigers.  It was Hamlin's third straight double figure game as he was 5-of-9 from the field.  For the season Hamlin has six double figure scoring games with a high of 12 points against both Rockford and Northern Illinois.   Hamlin is shooting 47.5 percent from the floor and added his 20th blocked shot of the year at Missouri.  Hamlin currently ranks second in the OVC in blocked shots with a high of five at Northwestern.

LUERS SCORES FIRST EIU POINTS
Dan Luers played in his third game at Eastern Illinois after making his first appearance of the season on Dec. 1 at Northern Illinois.  Luers is a transfer from NCAA Division III Defiance College where he averaged 16.4 points per game last season during the COVID-19 shortened season.  Luers had been expected to redshirt the year before playing 10 minutes at NIU with three rebounds.  On Tuesday at Missouri he scored his first points at EIU finishing with six points, two rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes of action.
